WOMEN OF HAWAII first presents Pegge Hopper the artist. Her story by Don Berry, her background and arrival in the Islands in 1963, the financial struggle that followed, her philosophies and of course, her eminent success. Included are approximately 46 full color graphic depictions of the WOMEN OF HAWAII. Included is the pertinent data for each of the pieces such as name, dimensions, artistic medium used in the creation plus in many cases the owner or collection to which these original painting belong. Many of these pieces have been the basis for subsequent reproductions of her limited edition and open stock print along with her iconic poster prints.
WOMEN OF HAWAII was truly an artistic presentation of Ms. Hopper’s life work as of 1985. Out-of-print and never again reprinted, it is quite scarce. This particular copy, still bright and in very nice condition, would make a wonderful addition to a Hawaiiana collection.
