Vintage small Japanese Satsuma decorated ceramic bowl… Condition fine, especially considering it’s age… There is some wear on the gold rim and some dimming of the gold decoration on the exterior… The interior features three Japanese ladies and two servants in gold are decorated kimonos admiring a garden vista, with more flower motifs around the rim of both interior and exterior… Colors are turquoise, orange red and violet against the distinctive Satsuma beige crackle glaze, all lavishly embellished with soft gold… The rim inside and out has a black band with gold patterns… There is a makers Mark on the bottom… Bowl is for display, only, and comes with a brown wood base… Dimensions of the bowl 1&7/8 inches high, five and five eights inches diameter… Base is 1&3/8 inches high 4 &1/8 inches diameter… Made in Japan
