****This is a very nice Japanese made lacquer ware bowl with a lid for keeping rice warm. It features a brown flower like bowl with a red lid that shows hand painted designs. Condition is nice, with a few light scuffs that show a white color. This bowl was obtained from a WW2 Veteran's estate, this item was acquired during his time spent in Japan during the occupation years. It measures approximately 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches, and looks to hold about 2 cups of cooked rice. Overall, a very nice item.****
