Up for sale is a another rare gem from 2oth Century Fox in 1945; "The Spider " starring Richard Conte, Faye Marlowe and Kurt Kruger in this film-noir thriller ! A recommended title for all movie buffs.
SYNOPSIS:
Conte plays an  ex-cop who is now a private detective. He  is hired by a woman to be the go-between in retrieving a very  important envelope from her partner.He  has the partner come to his apartment to deliver the envelope, but, someone sneaks into his apartment and strangles her while the detective is in another room. Afraid that the police will suspect him of the murder, he brings the woman's body back to her own apartment.  the police soon find out and he is suspected of the murder anyway. He must find out who is out to frame him for the murder and why, before the police catch up to him.
