A decorative illustrated book printed in 1875 for the 1876 Christmas and New Year season, containing a poem for each month of the year, each with a silhouette illustration by Helen Maria Hinds. The poems were by famous American poets: Longfellow, Whittier, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Lowell, Harriet  Beecher Stowe, and others. Complete. Bound in original green cloth with gold lettering on the cover and spine. Approximately 8 by 10 inches. Very slight wear to the edges of the covers. Contents in excellent condition.
