    Herkimer "diamonds" form in quartz-rich mud, which is found in pockets of hard rock.  Since the quartz (Herkimer diamonds) forms in mud, there are no points of attachment like most crystals.  These crystals form as double terminated crystals (terminations at both ends).  These diamonds were collected by me personally at a location north of Herkimer, NY, in a town called Middleville.
    This set of 3 crystals is as perfect as possible. Every diamond is water clear so that you see and read through any crystal. The crystals range in size from 10 to 12 mm.    This set of crystals have no damage and contain no black spots which is common in many crystals.  4 lots out of the 7 listed are shown.  Random selection.
    The sets weighs  between 3.9 and 4.1 ct.  NOTE: since herkimer diamonds are low in weight they would ship free with another specimen. I refund all excess shipping - always!
