    Rare Antique Meissen Watteau Scene Quatrefoil Shape Cup and Saucer
    【Factory】meissen
    【Date】1850-1924, crossed swords marks with pommels on hilts, applied 1850-1924.
    【Size】The cup: 7.3 cm high/8.3 cm x 6.7 cm diameter. The saucer: 14.5 cm x 12.5 cm diameter.
    【Condition report】Both are in excellent condition. No cracks/hairlines/restorations/chips/stains. First Choice without incised mark. There are very slight gilt wears on the base of the cup and the center of the saucer of where the cup sits. There is a needle size black spot at the bottom of the inside of the cup(6th pic).
    This Meissen porcelain cup and saucer set are hand painted with watteau scene of courting couples enjoying the countryside, the painting scene is very detailed.  On the rear side of the cup and on the saucer are decorated with total of three panels of colorful flower.  The base color is deep cobalt blue, decorated with golden lace and gold edges. The cup has a beautiful curved handle. Both the cup and saucer are in quatrefoil shape. An elegant and extraordinary cup and saucer set!
