Rare Antique Meissen Pate sur pate Portrait Cup Saucer
【Factory】meissen
【Date】The cup: crossed swords marks with pommels on hilts, applied 1850-1924, incised number 20, 12, (198).   The saucer: 1775-1817 Marcolini period.
【Size】The cup: 8. cm high/6.6 cm diameter. The saucer: 13.9 cm diameter.
【Condition report】Both are in excellent condition. No cracks/hairlines/restorations/chips/stains. First Choice without incised mark. There are slight gilt wares on the rim of the saucer and the center of where the cup sits. The saucer is not from the original set but they are very well matched in terms of style and the way they are decorated.
A Meissen porcelain cup  with pate sur pate portrait medallion of a woman in profile.  The cup and the saucer surrounded with colorful flower in the rim and gilt decoration , the saucer is decorated with white enamel beads. The cup and the saucer have the same pattern of  bas-relief straight line and gold design. Between the straight line the surface is raised and indented in order, creating a wave like surface. An elegant and extraordinary cup and saucer set!
