In this auction is: Purple fluorite smokey quartz amethyst UV fluorescent crystal rock specimen INTERESTING!
This is a very interesting specimen. I do not know what minerals are in it. From the underside there is are better purple purplish colors without any light on it in that crevice area that's open. From the top side in regular light you see a little bit of purple purplish color more from one angle and depends on how the lighting is. I am seeing smokey, purples & then the crystal but do not know if this is fluorite, quartz etc. This originated out of Illinois but there is no history. I also took my UV light to it and it has some fluorescent stuff going on too!
Again its very interesting. I do not know any history of it, all I did was vac it a little bit and wipe off some dust. The other thing would be the host rock and seeing the seam of whatever this is with as there are fracture lines in that host rock it looks like too. If anyone can help identify this better please let me know so I can add it to the description. It weighs maybe 15lbs+.
