    Description

A small booklet published by Ralph Brown, a pedestrian and 'entertainer' who walked around the world, perhaps with his dog, visiting with as many famous people people as would receive him, including Thomas Edison, Woodrow Wilson, and many foreign dignitaries. It took him 5 years. He was an Englishman who went to South Africa as a boy and fought in the Boer War. He opened a theatre there that failed, and after that left South Africa on his round the world walking tour. He ended up in the United States where this booklet was published, probably at about the time of the First World War. Complete. 8 pages. Brown paper covers with a portrait of him on the front and back, the front one titled "Ralph Brown and his faithful terrier". Approximately 6 by 4.5 inches. Minor wear to the cover, otherwsie in very good original condition.
