    Description

The item for sale is a group of four hand painted pottery pieces that were made in Japan probably around the early twentieth century.  Three of the pieces have the Rising Sun mark.  The fourth piece has Nippon under a small five petaled flower.    The condition of the items is essentially as made.  One of the oval dishes has what appears to be a tiny cut in the rim that is nearly invisible.  Other than that, there are no chips nor cracks and the barest trace of wear.  The items are as follows:
A footed mayonnaise bowl with pink and orange roses.  This has a Rising Sun mark on the bottom.   The diameter and height are 4 1/2" and 2".
A pair of small oval plates with pink rose decoration.  These have a Rising Sun mark on the bottom.  The length and width are 6 1/4" x 4".
An oblong serving bowl with handles on both ends.  This has pink and red roses, embossed decoration and moriage.  This has an unglazed foot.  The length, width and height  are 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1 3/4".
