    THE SPECIMEN IS
    APPROXIMATELY 9 X 8 X 7 cm
    .  AND IT
    WEIGHS 437.6 gm.
    ANORTHITE IS THE CALCIUM END MEMBER OF THE PLAGIOCLASE FELDSPARS.  IT IS RICH IN ALUMINUM AND IS CONSIDERED A SOMEWHAT VIABLE SOURCE OF ALUMINUM METAL.
