the hand decorated pair
i can find no issues: only stored and, in the case of the plate, retains its original vintage ff paper label (in just pristine condition; see last image), so never used. striking pair made in japan with a variation take on a dragon-version of the ouroboros symbol. the dragon matches the vibrant emerald green on the border of the plate. i feel like these are simultaneously asian in style and then sort of not. the rim of the plate is finished in a rusty red that matches the abstract swirls on both items. they are made in japan and are hand decorated by fitz and floyd (see more on them below)
dimensions (you can view the second-to-last image for a sense of scale)
plate
it is not a large plate: the diamater is about 6 3/8". it is a squat plate (always great for wall display). the rim of the plate is 3/4" away from the surface on which the plate rests.
vase
total height is 4 1/4". at its most rotund, the circumference is 12". the rim diameter is about 1 1/2" (middle of lip).
