    Description

    Decorative Japanese porcelain plate with a central design of chrysanthemum flowers with other flowers and foliage, plus a Japanese pheasant bird with the long tail also perched amongt the flowers. The chrysanthemum flower represents longevity, rejuvenation and nobility in Japan. It is also the symbol of autumn, harvest and goodwill. The Japanese pheasant bird is the national symbol of Japan similar to the eagle for the United States. The prominent colors are the traditional blue and red Imari colors. The outer rim of the plate has a beautiful ornate gold trim. Condition is very good, there are no cracks and chips and the colors are vibrant. It is marked on the back as shown in the photos and says Made in Japan. It also states this plate should be used for decorative purposes only and should not be used with food.  If you need any more info about this item or the condition, just ask and I will answer quickly.
