    Description

    Japanese Arita (Imari) ware bowl, fluted sides, scalloped lip and straight foot. Decorated in overglaze polychrome enamels and underglaze blue in center medallion design of a flower basket in blue, cavetto with pointed red ground cartouches alternating with a fruiting tree and flower panels. Exterior is similarly decorated with lower border of stylized waves in blue. Includes a custom wooden base made in Hong Kong.
