    Description

    A fascinating vintage Japanese black lacquer piece probably from mid-century. Wooden and lacquer survives in excellent condition with slight haze.  I am not the "black lacquer" expert but for what it is worth, the scenes on the bowl interior and trim appear to be delicately carved instead on painted on.  Overall impression is that this is a fine classic piece.  Interior lacquer is slightly cloudy and I have not attempted further cleaning or polish. No markings or labels on the piece.
    Beautiful and interesting display piece from a smoke free, pet free environment.
