Description
the mid-century poti can find no issues. this has only ever been displayed. just a beautiful hand painted gold-finished imari piece (you can read more about imari porcelain below). and has that fantastic true-to-style gold with deep blue combination that works so well. according to
gotheborg
, this mark was used in the mid-20th century and is that of a tradename of the yazaemon family kiln (you can read more about that below). that kiln became the arita busson company in 1953. there is also a sticket that coveys something like «neygiu» imports, but i could find nothing about that company. just a lovely piece with the very nice finishing touch of having the lip of the rim also decorated.

about the «gold imari» trade name
(from: gotheborg)
the gold imari logo is a trademark of the yazaemon family kiln founded in 1804. after many ups and downs including fires, bankruptcy, and name changes, it became the arita busson co. in 1953. the trademark was created in this era. the word mark ‹gold imari hand painted› was first used in the u.s. on december 1, 1959. the applicant was arita bussan co., ltd. corp. japan № 8, 3-chrome iida-machi, higashi-ku, nahoya, japan. in 2007 they became the arita seiyou co., ltd, and in 2016 they became the arita porcelain lab, inc. the u.s. patent office mark registration was abandoned october 29, 1984, however they are still using the trademark.
the company apparently stopped exporting in 2007 and are now only selling domestically in japan.

the images serve as the majority of the listing description, so take a look at them closely.
shipping costs have really increased—this is calculated into the buy-it-now price.
i am not able to sell individual items from items i have listed as a group. i just don't have the stamina to create new listings for those. i apologize for that. i haven't initially individually listed items because i don't have enough listing slots to so.
trying to downsize some, though extremely melancholically.
shipping time: i otherwise work more than full time and my health isn't great, so kindly excuse the longer handling time. if i am able to ship sooner, i absolutely will do that
. i appreciate you taking the time to view my listing.
