An extremely interesting piece of history is this George H.W. Bush 1989 World Series autographed baseball. The "Bay Bridge Series" between the Oakland Athletics and the San Francisco Giants earned its more famous moniker "Earthquake Series" on October 17 when just minutes into game 3 the Bay Area was struck with a 6.9 magnitude earthquake. The Oakland A's ultimately swept the Giants in 4 games, but not before both stadiums were damaged in the earthquake. The Bay Area earthquake was one of the many challenges Bush 41 faced during his presidency. This rare and special piece of history is an absolute conversation starter and a must have for any collector.
