his octahedron is pale blue. Some of the photos show it darker than it is.  The octahedron is about 95% transparent, and you can read print through it. The octahedron has shiny smooth sides (one side is not perfect but good).  This was cleaved into a good octahedron shape.
Fluorite octahedrons are cleaved from larger chunks of fluorite.  Many of the fluorite octahedrons that I sell have been cleaved by me, using a small chisel to tap the fluorite chunk into the octahedral shape.  This fluorite comes from Hardin County, Cave-in-Rock, Illinois.
The octahedron weighs about .55 ounces (15 grams) and is about 1.21 inches tip to tip.  Photo 2 is true color or photo with brick wall.
NOTE: It's difficult to capture the true color of fluorite.  It will change color depending upon the light source.  Whenever there is purple in the fluorite the photos tend to show more purple.
