    Description

    Two beautiful vintage soup bowls with a dark cobalt blue interior decorated with pretty spring floral blossoms in pale pink and light blue. I believe this lovely set was made in Japan, it has an unknown mark on the bottom, so I can't tell for sure but the design and size reminds me of medium size Japanese soup bowls (between a tea bowl and a larger noodle soup bowl in size). The floral decor is reminiscent of the spring Sakura cherry blossoms. These bowls are 5 inches across and 2 1/4 inches high with a rounded rim. Condition is very good with no cracks or chips. I don't think the previous owner used these at all, I think they were only displayed in a cabinet for their beauty. The mark on the bottom looks like it might be either a stylized fish hook or possibly the letter J? I could not find a similar mark anywhere, sorry.  If you have any questions about this plate or the condition, please just ask and we will answer quickly.
