Apophyllite, India, great specimen

Description

Here is a great specimen of Apophyllite from the Deccan trap basalts of southern India. This piece is a true jewel! Many of the crystals have both superb terminations and great transparency. I cannot see any downside to this specimen, a great example of Apophyllite at its best, due to the "pyramidal" terminations, as well as the clarity of the crystals, and top luster. One of the side crystals appears to have a basal cleavage, resulting in a flat termination. However, this does not appear to detract for the overall impact of the piece.
This piece is 277 grams, or 9.75 oz. the size is 3x3x2 inch.
