    Description

Antique Japanese Blue & White Igezara “pie crust” plate, circa early 1900's. Measures 9-3/4”. Great antique condition, no cracks, no repairs. Please note imperfection along underside ring does not appear to be a chip as it is a smooth indent that likely occurred prior to being fired.
    Igezara
pieces are thickly potted transferware plates that were common in the Meiji (1868-1913) and Taisho period (1913-1926). Igezara was made for the common man and usually thickly potted to withstand daily use.
