    Description

    A charming antique Meissen porcelain figurine of a girl feeding chickens, either nineteenth or early twentieth century. Features polychrome painted figure of a young girl in bonnet and eighteenth-century dress feeding a rooster, hen, and group of little chicks. Measures approx. 4.5"h x 2.75"dia at base. In good antique condition, with just light general surface wear commensurate with age, the only major damage being that the rooster's beak has broken off and that there appears to be a small break to the feed in the girl's hand - see pictures. Marked on bottom with blue double crossed swords (appears to be the 1815-1924 variation), hand signed with model number 2814. A wonderful piece of antique porcelain for the Meissen collector!
