    Description

    Stunning 9 1/2” wide square Japanese Vintage Ando's Enamel Cloisonné Platter of Irises. Only one owner of this platter since it was received in the 1970's. Always kept protected in a display case. Platter includes stand and original brochure from Ando's.
    I’ve included 4 corner detail photos of areas of the platter which show some very small marks that are part of the manufacturing process and are not defects, and do not detract from the piece.

    This piece is a type of Shippo Enameling called Shippo Yaki. Shippo is the Japanese word for Cloisonné and translates to "seven heavenly treasures".
