Description

Up for auction is a  4.75" X 6.75" late 1930s/early 1940s photo of an integrated Illinois School for the Deaf baseball team coached by Luther "Dummy" Taylor.  This photo can be identified as being from Illinois School for the Deaf by the presences of Dick Sipek (6th from Left) who later went on to play in the Major Leagues.  The name notations are all in Luther's own hand and the fact that he included the notation "Dummy not in Picture" would make that an autograph. The accompanying typed note is not attached to photo; and I do not believe it ever was.  There is an attached Sporting News Collection authentication sticker on the reverse.
