18th Century Meissen Hand Painted Floral & Gold Tea Cup & Saucer Circa 1733-1774
Nice 18th century porcelain tea cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted flowers in red, white, purple, yellow, blue and orange. Gold gilding along the edge. Marked on the bottom with the underglaze blue crossed swords mark a dot. This mark was used by the royal Meissen factory between 1763 to 1774.
Has some wear to the gilding, wear consistent with age and use, and a tight crack through the base of the handle. Otherwise good condition.
The cup measures approximately 3 7/8 inches wide including the handle x 1 7/8 inches tall.
The saucer measures approximately 5 1/4 inches wide.
This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
